Peer Feedback Questions for 360 Reviews
17 ready-to-use questions, example comments and tips — plus a free tool that runs the survey and writes the AI report for you.
Peers see how you work when no manager is watching — in hand-offs, shared projects and everyday problem-solving. These questions help colleagues give specific, balanced feedback without it feeling awkward.

- How well do they give credit to others?
Reliability

- How early do they flag risks or delays?
- How dependable is the quality of their work?
- How well do they take ownership of mistakes?
Communication
- How clearly does this person explain their ideas?
- How well do they listen to other viewpoints?
- How respectful are they in written communication (chat, email)?
- How easy is it to give them feedback?
Open-ended questions
- What do you value most about working with this person?
- What is one thing that would make working with them even easier?
- Describe a moment when they had a positive impact on your work.
- What skill do you think they should develop next?
- Is there anything else they should know?
Example feedback comments
Good comments are specific, describe behaviour rather than personality, and explain the impact. A few examples:
Strength
“When I joined, he spent an hour walking me through the data pipeline without being asked. It saved me at least a week.”
Growth area
“Updates on shared tickets sometimes arrive the day of the deadline. A heads-up a few days earlier would let us adjust.”

Tips for a useful 360
- Ask for examples, not adjectives: "describe a moment when…" gets far better answers than "is she collaborative?".
- Keep peer surveys short (8–10 minutes) — people often review several colleagues at once.
- Anonymity matters most for peers; aim for at least 3 peer reviewers.
Frequently asked questions
Should peer feedback be anonymous?
Usually yes. Anonymous peer feedback is more candid, especially about growth areas. Aggregate responses so no single answer can be traced back.
How many peers should give feedback?
Three to six peers who work with the person regularly gives a balanced view without overloading anyone.
