Free self-evaluation writer for your performance review

Rate yourself on five areas, list what you achieved, and get a first-person draft for your review form: summary, achievements, strengths, what you’re developing and goals. It never invents results; where an example is missing it leaves a note for you to fill in.

How often do you do this well?

1 = rarely, 5 = almost always. Be honest: it makes the draft credible.

Leadership & InfluenceSetting direction, making calls and bringing others along in everyday situations.

How to write a strong self-evaluation

  1. Lead with results: what changed because of your work, with numbers where you can.
  2. Describe behaviours, not adjectives: “I summarise decisions in writing after each meeting” beats “I am a great communicator”.
  3. Name one or two things you are developing, and what you are already doing about them.
  4. Set goals your manager can observe: what, by when, and how you will both know.
  5. Check it against others’ view: a short 360 shows whether colleagues see the same strengths.

Self-evaluation phrases you can adapt

  • Strength I make decisions on time when facts are incomplete, and I say when we will review them, which kept the Q3 launch on schedule.
  • Strength I explain the “why” when I hand over work, so colleagues can choose their own way to get there.
  • Developing I tend to take on too much myself. Since the summer I agree priorities with my manager every Monday and delegate one task each week.
  • Goal By March, run the weekly client review on my own and cut open action items by half.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really free?

Yes. No sign-up and no credit card. A few drafts per day per person, to keep it free for everyone.

Will it make things up?

No. It only uses your ratings, job title and achievements. Where a strength needs a concrete example you did not give, it leaves a [bracketed note] for you to fill in.

Which languages?

English, French, German and Spanish: the draft is written in the language of this page.
