Free work style quiz: how do you work in a team?

Twenty short statements, about 4 minutes. See how much each of four work styles fits you, your strongest one, and one to practise. Free, no sign-up, and your answers never leave your browser.

How much is each statement like you at work? Think of how you usually act, not how you would like to act.

Your answers are scored in your browser and never sent to us.

The four work styles

This is our own simple model of four ways people like to contribute to team work, each named after a colour. It is not based on any commercial personality typology, and the statements are our own. No style is better than another: each brings something a team needs.

Coral: the Starter
Brings energy and new ideas, and gets work moving. Strengths: starting projects, finding new options when the team is stuck, and rallying people behind a goal.
Teal: the Connector
Looks after the people side of work: trust, harmony and everyone having a voice. Strengths: building trust in a new team, calming conflict, and making sure quiet people are heard.
Amber: the Organiser
Turns ideas into plans, keeps track of commitments and gets work over the line. Strengths: projects with many steps and deadlines, handovers between people, and anything that must be done reliably.
Indigo: the Analyst
Thinks things through, checks the facts and cares about getting it right. Strengths: complex problems, decisions with real risk, and work where quality matters more than speed.

Frequently asked questions

Is one work style better than the others?

No. Each style brings strengths a team needs and risks when it is overused. Teams tend to work best when they have a mix and know who brings what.

How accurate is this quiz?

It is a quick reflection tool, not a validated psychometric test. Your scores show how much you say each style fits you (0–100), not how you compare with other people.

Can I use it with my team?

Yes. Ask everyone to take it and share their result link, then talk about who brings which style and what the team may be missing. It works well at the start of a project.

Do you keep my answers?

No. The quiz runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers unless you share a link, which contains only your four scores.

How can I find out how my colleagues see me?

Ask them. A 360 feedback collects anonymous views from your manager, peers and direct reports, and shows where they differ from your own view. You can run one free on this site.
